Storytelling for Organizations in Times of Change

Storytelling for Organizations in Times of Change
July 8, 2021, 10-12pm CST
Within these past few years, we have all experienced an immense amount of change. Both as individuals and organizations, we have needed to adapt to currently changing situations, often navigating unknown territory. For both organizations and individuals, this constant change can take its toll mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Wherever your organization may be- responding to a societal level crisis, transitioning back to in-person work, or preparing for a challenging project- it is important to create space on how to respond to change. Especially in times where change is constant and unpredictable, stepping back to reflect can help support individuals and organizations to develop resilience and courage.
In this interactive workshop, you will learn how the art of storytelling can support individuals, teams, and organizations in times of change. The oldest form of human communication, storytelling is a powerful tool to support people in times of change as simultaneously engages the head, the heart, and the soul.
Within this workshop, you will get the opportunity to…
Engage with storytelling, and how it can be used to create connection, reflection, and discussion
Gain new techniques on how to navigate change in your organization through the lens of a story
Identify stories and experiences from your own life that have helped you navigate professional and personal change
Reflect on your own response to organizational change, and how this impacts your professional and personal goals
By participating in this workshop, you will walk away with renewed energy and perspective both professionally and personally, as well as a new appreciation for how storytelling can support you in times of change.
With stories as the guide, Story Compass workshops provide creative approaches to navigate your professional life, goals, and community.
